I wanted to do some PvP since I was bored today, so I thought about creating an Ranger / Elementalist (Earth) Character. I had unlocked various Bow Upgrades in my ventures with my RPG Character, so my equipment was pretty darn good!

I had unlocked quite a few skills also, Penatrating attack,power shot,armor of earth,ward against melee,stone daggers,earthquake,eruption. Anyways; so I go into the Arena and I am attacking people with my bow, their far off so nothing to worry about since the Warriors are knocking them down and such.
So that adversary dies and then i see the last opposing character alive, a warrior. I cast Armor of Earth which adds 50 Armor since my Earth magic was high. I attack with penatrating shot then power shot, half health! He turns and runs away, but not before i cast Earthquake for 80 damage and finish the battle.

At the end while I was waiting for the next battle, you know the "15 seconds of fame" when you say 'Good Game' and dance? Well the Warrior that was going to attack started to rapidly swear, insult and call me a hacker, over and over and over again..!

Now this angered me quite a lot! I didn't hack anything! I played the game up until I got to Crystal Desert and was able to gain alot of Skills in GW!

Now umm... Discuss this... Or share simular experiences(?).

In PvP in general, people (unskilled, stupid people, anyway) tend to go towards the "You're Hacked!" theory, when they lose. If you are really so good someone had to yell that you were hacked, and your not, then take it as a compliment of your strength

I play for fun. Win or Lose. I don't care if I have a bazilion platinum in my Storage! I wouldn't say that I'm like the greatest person alive or something!

My opinion is that games are fun and meant to me played. Don't care what other people think, if you think you did good, you did.

But what happened there angered me... Do you know how long it took me to finally be able to be 'Skilled' as a Ranger? At least 50 loses in the Tombs... =D

I never get angry and say hacker.. with my lvl 10 mo/me i just say damn noobs to the poeple who bring draknors armor to the PvP arena thinking there good. Forget them!

Then I go to competition arenas and feel better when i pwn someone with my lvl 20 w/mo

I know the feeling... I don't like people that flunt around their money and buy whatever they please and rub it into people's faces like mine!

Just because I'm a Monk / Elementalist level 17 with 7000 Gold still with Standard Monk Armor doesn't mean "You People" can make fun of me...

Yup. basicly on any online game your gonna get this. Some 7 year old that thinks he is the shiz and then gets pwnd. and since he is the best. you must hack. I take it as compliments. Least he cant flame his mic. Oh god the horrid memorys of counter-strike and 7 year old kids spammin the mic. So take it as a major compliment. And armor of earth does help ALOT i used it on my ele a little and its awsome

Well there are a lot of sore losing morons out there. I've been called a hacker because I was able to spam some low energy skills over and over as a Ranger. Apparently they dont know anything about Expertise.

There's also another incidence where two of my teammates in the random arenas accused the opposing team of using a hack to lag them, causing them to lose.

And another time a warrior in my team died and the monk used vengeance on him...of course he died again after 30 seconds, and that's when the warrior started screaming ,"WTF?!? I had full health, those f---- are using a cheat to insta-kill me!"

Whoever it was probably didn't understand the game all that well. It sure seems like you damn rangers are hacking when you're using that stance that dodges all my blows *cough*power blow *cough*.

Course, in your case it sounds like he was just angry he lost.

But yeah.. It happened again..! But the character MUST of been a test... S/he wasn't using any skills and wasn't attacking much...

Grain of salt. You look so much better when you just shrug and walk away from it like it was nothing.

Agreed, take it as a compliment. In the FPS world nothing is a better compliment to your skill and aim than "OMG HAX!!!!111" and that carries over here. If they win, they are GODS... if they lose, you were obviously cheating. Or it wasn't them but their sister on the computer. Or lagggggg... or... well you get the idea.

Shame on you, learning how to play effectively. Thats not fair!

Of course, in the FPS world cheating is widespread too. In Americas Army Online or Counterstrike it's pretty much guaranteed that one or several people are cheating in any given match (using autoaim, autofire, wallhacks, radar etcetcetcetc), so accusing people of cheating there is a lot more understandable than in GW.

That so-called "15 seconds of fame" of yours aren't going to make your opponents feel better about the loss.

And just ignore them if they swear at you or whatever, because they might have had a bad day and you just made it even worst by acting childish before they leave the battlefield.

People like that drive me insane, you beat them and they just wont let it go, and there isnt anything you can do to stop them, so whenever i see that i just laugh, or type lol in this case, it just annoys them even more which makes me laugh even more and so on and so on, its all very funny really.

Heh, sounds like the group that we mauled with two rangers and two elementalists.
(random pickup arena)

We decided to just make for the hill on the right (lava map) and wait for them, as they tried to cross over the bridge and get to us we rained merry helll on them, nobody got close, then we got cussed at and called campers ... uhhh .... what? you want the four range guys to come and try to melee warriors .... uhhh ...
